Founded in 1921 Morganians RFC is a family orientated club. The members of Morganians RFC play rugby for the love of the game.
The Clubhouse is situated just off the A39 on the outskirts of Bridgwater. With a main hall that holds 150 and a sperate players bar that holds a further 80, Morganians RFC is the perfect place for you to hold your event.
Ramblers CC build their Carnival cart on the clubs grounds and Chedzoy pre-school use the main hall during term time.
With a Football team using the facilities this season (2011/12) it shows that Morganians RFC is easily accessible, and will endeavour to meet your requirements to a satisfactory level.
The Club ended the 2011/12 Season near the bottom of Somerset 2 South, with some positives results at the start and end of the season. Never the less, on a positive note we go into next season with a young team, who with guidance from our Coach Matt Foad and advice from several retiring Players we should have a good Side for the up coming season.
At the the Annual General Meeting Barry John was appointed Captain for the 2012/13 Seaon where Morganians will again be playing in Somerset 2 South. Nigel Smith Has stepped down as Captain after 2 seasons but he has taken on the task of membership secretary. All membership subscriptions this season, this includes Playing Membership, Social Membership and Patrons Memberships are to be collected by him.
Morganians had a slow start to the season but after much work and training ended up finishing 10th, playing some impressive rugby. This has lead to good spirits within the camp and momentum being carried forward into the new season.
Training Takes place on Tuesday and Thursday nights @ 18:30 at the ground. This year the training sessions will be taken by the new coach Shah.
Players of all abilities are welcome even if you have never played the game before, So if you want to try your hand at Rugby or you just want to keep fit why not come down.
